1. The prominent Indonesian soprano Aning Katamsi will give singing masterclasses in Surabaya. She will focus on the music of Ananda Sukarlan, which she has been specializing for the last few years, singing almost all works for soprano which include songs for voice and piano as well as Ananda's spectacular 40-minute opera for solo soprano, "The Mother whose son was kidnapped".
A recent memorable performance was during the Jakarta New Year Concert 2010 where she sang "Bibirku Bersujud di Bibirmu" based on a poem by Hasan Aspahani about the tsunami. A clip can be watched at :
